Julien Meynet

Julien Meynet has extensive work experience in the field of data science and machine learning. Julien is currently working as a Principal Search Relevance Engineer at Wallapop since 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of Data Science at letgo from September 2020 to January 2022, and before that, they worked as a Senior Data Scientist at letgo from November 2017 to September 2020.

Julien also worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Criteo from August 2014 to October 2017. Before that, they served as a Data Scientist at Bestofmedia Group from March 2010 to July 2014. Julien began their career as a Machine Learning Engineer / Applied Scientist at Yahoo! from July 2008 to March 2010.

Julien's academic background includes a PhD and researcher role at EPFL. During this time, they conducted research on machine learning algorithms in the field of computer vision and image processing. Julien held the position of Research Assistant at EPFL from October 2003 to October 2007.

Julien Meynet completed a M.Sc in signal processing and automatic control at Grenoble INP - UGA from 2000 to 2003. Julien then pursued a DEA in computer vision at the same institution from 2002 to 2003. Subsequently, Julien attended EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a PhD in machine learning, pattern recognition, and computer vision.
