Aaron White

Director of Digital Practice, Structures at Walter P Moore

Aaron White blends strong structural engineering skills with a passion for continual technology-enabled improvement in processes and outcomes to drive Walter P Moore’s project delivery forward with an advanced client-centric and industry-leading digital culture.

He draws on his natural inquisitiveness, empathy, and systems thinking expertise to challenge and integrate traditional silos of design and construction, creating client value in the process.

Aaron is a great listener, a proactive thinker, and a technology expert. He uses this rare skillset to lead teams for Walter P Moore’s most challenging projects in sports, airports, entertainment, convention centers, and public projects. For the 560-foot span retractable roof over Miami’s Marlins Park, Aaron’s team developed an innovative roof structure that saved the client 1,000 tons of structural steel. They digitally connected design with documentation and construction, resulting in virtually no structural change orders. For the GSA’s new Dove Building in Miramar, FL, Aaron’s team solved the challenges of a highly irregular building geometry with an innovative digital workflow that reduced construction errors and helped make the project the DBIA National Project of the Year in 2016.

As Walter P Moore’s Director of Digital Practice and a Senior Principal, he strengthens both firm culture and project outcomes by ensuring that the work processes respond to the challenges of complex geometry, lightning pace, and fluidity. As a direct result, Walter P Moore is a more effective design partner, skillfully managing structural quantities and seamlessly flowing structural information from initial design through fabrication modeling to actual construction.

Aaron excels at probing the needs of clients and other project team members, empowering them to articulate and expand their vision for project success and then helping them achieve it.
