Adrian McDermott

Adrian McDermott has a diverse work experience in the field of architecture and design. Adrian is currently working as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where they teach undergraduate design studio courses. Previously, Adrian served as the Director of Design, Architecture at Ware Malcomb. Adrian also held positions at The Lamar Johnson Collaborative as the Design Director - Associate Principal and at Gensler as the Design Director and Architectural Designer. Adrian has also worked as an Assistant Instructor at The Art Institute of Chicago and as a Senior Designer at Skidmore Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM). Additionally, they have experience teaching at the University of Illinois at Chicago as an Adjunct Assistant Professor and a Teaching Assistant. Adrian started their career as an Architectural Intern at Kathryn Quinn Architects and Worn Jerabek Architects, P.C.

Adrian McDermott earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Design from Northern Illinois University, where they studied from 1993 to 1998. Adrian furthered their education by obtaining a Masters degree in Architecture from the University of Illinois Chicago from 2005 to 2008.
