Eugene Barnes has a long history of work experience. From 1990 to 1993, they worked for Colorado Resort Services, where they held various positions, including Quality Assurance Checker, Executive Housekeeper, Front Desk Manager, and Property Manager. During this time, they also trained and certified Commercial Shuttle Van Drivers as a third party CDL tester with the Colorado Department of Transportation. From 1993 to present, Eugene has been employed at Warm Beach Camp & Conference Center, where they have held the positions of General Manager, Director of Hospitality Services, Director of Guest Services, and Horsemanship Director. In their role as Director of Guest Services, they were responsible for overseeing the Guest Service Department, Front Desk, Registration Department and Camp Store, negotiating contracts, providing customer service support, and serving as liaison between the conference center and the guest groups. As Horsemanship Director, they managed a successful horsemanship program consisting of trail rides, overnight riding camps and a high school leadership training program, oversaw 60 horses with training, care, facility management, long-range goals, equipment care, and purchasing, managed twelve summer staff plus six high school leadership students and up to eight volunteers throughout the school year, and developed and implemented safety standard procedures for all areas of the Horsemanship Program. Eugene was also a Certified Clinic Instructor with Certified Horsemanship Safety Association (CHA).
Eugene Barnes obtained a Horseshoeing Certificate from Olympia Technical Community College between 1979 and 1980. Eugene'sstudies focused on horse anatomy, corrective shoeing, and ornamental ironwork.
