Yewchyn Yong

YewChyn Yong is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles within the finance sector. Currently serving as Vice President of Group Finance and holding previous positions such as Group Financial Controller and Senior Manager at Wasco Energy Group of Companies since April 2013, YewChyn has developed a strong expertise in financial reporting, treasury, and corporate finance. Prior to this, YewChyn held the role of Group Financial Controller at WRP Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd and served as Senior Finance Manager at Lasseters, contributing to significant financial oversight. Early career experience includes roles as Audit Manager at Ernst & Young, where involvement in an IPO resulted in a successful listing on the Shanghai Exchange, and similar responsibilities at Price Waterhouse Coopers. Educational qualifications include Certified CPA credentials from the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and MICPA, alongside a degree in Accountancy from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
