James Sipes

James Sipes, MBA, has a diverse range of work experience in environmental and compliance roles. James is currently the Greenhouse Gas and Air Quality Compliance Lead at Washington Gas since October 2023. Prior to that, they worked as an Environmental Air Supervisor at HF Sinclair from January 2021 to October 2023. James also served as the Environmental Manager at Dover Chemical Corp from April 2019 to July 2020. From 2015 to 2019, James worked at Magellan Midstream Partners as an Environmental Air Specialist, where they managed environmental air quality programs and compliance in multiple states. Before that, they held positions at CETCON INC as an Environmental Air Specialist for a brief period in 2015 and at Cameron, a Schlumberger company, as the Director of Compliance from April 2013 to January 2015. Additionally, they gained experience as an Underground Injection Control Specialist at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 2011. James began their career in the United States Army where they served as a Service Member from September 2002 to October 2009.

James Sipes, MBA holds a Master's Degree of Business Administration from Northeastern State University. James also obtained a Bachelor's Degree of Multidisciplinary Earth and Environmental Sciences from Oklahoma State University.
