Riley Freedman

Riley Freedman is an experienced legal and software professional currently serving as the Notes and Comments Editor at the Washington Law Review. Riley has completed judicial externships with the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Washington Court of Appeals, as well as a legal externship with the Federal Public Defender in the Western District of Washington. Prior to pursuing a legal career, Riley worked as a software engineer at companies such as Omada Health, Chariot, and IBM, focusing on full-stack development, participant experience, and internal tools. Riley holds a Doctor of Law degree from the University of Washington School of Law and an A.B. in Computer Science and History from Bowdoin College, complemented by a brief study at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
