Stephanie Remick has a diverse range of work experience spanning multiple organizations and roles. Stephanie began their career as a 6th-grade teacher at Alief Independent School District, where they focused on improving student achievement and fostering student leadership. Stephanie then joined the American Youth Policy Forum as a Teach For America Summer Fellow. Following that, they worked at SMYAL as a Youth Leadership Coordinator, where they developed and led various programs to empower LGBTQ+ youth. Stephanie then transitioned to Back on My Feet, where they served as a Member Services Manager, creating job and housing opportunities for homeless individuals. Stephanie also worked at Cesar Chavez Public Charter Schools in multiple roles, including Director of Experiential Learning and Director of Public Policy, where they implemented internships and trainings for students and teachers. Currently, Stephanie is the Director of Data at Washington Leadership Academy Public Charter School, where they gather, analyzes, and visualizes data to improve student outcomes. Stephanie was also the Director of Experiential Learning at Washington Leadership Academy, where they created an 11th-grade internship program. Throughout their career, Stephanie has demonstrated a commitment to education, leadership development, and improving outcomes for marginalized populations.
Stephanie Remick holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Policy and Leadership and a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Public Administration, both of which they obtained from American University in the years 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they pursued their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science and Government from SUNY Geneseo, graduating in the period of 2003 to 2007.
