Rachel Healy has a diverse work experience in the field of sustainability and transportation. Rachel worked at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) from 2011 to present, holding roles such as Director of the Office of Sustainability and Director of the Sustainability Program. Prior to that, they worked at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a Sustainable Infrastructure Specialist from 2005 to 2011. Rachel also had a brief stint as an Environmental Specialist at the UN Refugee Agency in 2006. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Manager of Planning Analysis and Research at MTA New York City Transit from 2000 to 2004.
Rachel Healy has pursued advanced education in the field of Environmental Policy, with a focus on Infrastructure and Development Planning. Rachel has completed their PhD coursework at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and holds a Master's degree in Urban Planning from Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation.
