James Fleury

James Fleury is an accomplished academic and educator in Film and Media Studies, currently serving as a Senior Lecturer at Washington University in St. Louis since July 2023, where courses taught range from "American Film Genres" to "Transmedia Franchises." Previously, James held the position of Assistant Professor of Media Arts at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (June 2022 - July 2023) and Lecturer at Washington University in St. Louis (August 2019 - July 2022). James has extensive teaching experience at various institutions, including Le Moyne College and Los Angeles City College, and has contributed to film festivals and research initiatives as a reviewer at the Sundance Institute and a research fellow at UCLA's Digital Incubation Think-Tank. James holds a PhD and an MA in Cinema and Media Studies from UCLA and a BA in English from Le Moyne College.
