Ankwatia Guisilla Dedino has a wealth of work experience in the medical field. In 2017, they began their career as a Medical Doctor at the Catholic health organization of Cameroon, Buea Diocese. In 2018, they moved to the Cameroon Ministry of Public Health, where they continued their work as a Medical Doctor. In 2019, they became a Clinical Supervisor at Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), where they supervised the treatment of pediatric, trauma and OBGY patients in six hospitals, leading to a drop-in all-cause mortality rate from 15% initially to 3% from the sixth month onwards. Ankwatia also championed the implementation of Infection, prevention and control policies, leading to a drop in surgical site infections from 10% initially to 0% from the sixth month onwards. In 2020, they worked as a Medical services provider at WASPITO. In 2021, they became a Graduate Student at the University of Oxford. Currently, they are an Improving Performance in Care and Teams at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Ankwatia Guisilla Dedino has a Doctorate in General Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, University of Yaoundé I, Cameroon, which they obtained between 2010 and 2017. Ankwatia is currently pursuing a Master of Science in International Health and Tropical Medicine from the University of Oxford, which they began in 2021.
