Sunny Iyer

Sunny Iyer is an experienced operational specialist currently working at Wasteco since May 2023. Previous roles include truck driver and operations team member at Waste Connections from May 2021 to February 2023, and a semi truck driving instructor at Metro Truck Driving School from August 2020 to April 2021. Sunny has a diverse background in the transportation industry, having worked as an AZ driver for companies such as Edmundson Transport Services and Bestway Cartage Ltd., and served as an owner operator at Kriska Holdings Ltd. Additionally, experience includes long haul freight with Clarke Road Transport and Schneider National, as well as customer service with the Bank of Montreal. Sunny began a career in public service, working for the Customs & Central Excise Department of the Ministry of Finance in India from 1992 to 2009, eventually rising to the role of Superintendent. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Economics from Gujarat University, obtained between 1987 and 1989.
