Helen Hamilton has extensive experience in the nonprofit sector, with a focus on policy analysis and advocacy. Helen started their career at Sightsavers, where they worked as a Research Assistant from September 2007 to December 2008. Helen then moved on to become a Corporate Partnerships Assistant from January 2009 to September 2010, and later served as a Corporate Partnerships Executive from September 2010 to December 2011.

In January 2012, Helen transitioned to the role of Policy Advisor for Neglected Tropical Diseases at Sightsavers. In this position, they were responsible for delivering the organization's policy influencing work on NTDs. Their work included designing and implementing change-oriented programs in health and NTD focus areas, as well as conducting health policy analysis to support influencing and communication activities.

In September 2017, Helen joined WaterAid as a Senior Policy Analyst. Their role focused on planning and leading global influencing efforts on the role of water, sanitation, and hygiene in human health and development. Specifically, they worked on addressing water, sanitation, and hygiene in healthcare facilities, neglected tropical diseases, antimicrobial resistance, and One Health.

Helen Hamilton completed their education at the University of Birmingham from 2002 to 2005, where they pursued a degree in International Studies with a focus on Political Science.
