Sylvia Ionita

Sylvia Ionita is the current Head of Finance at waterdrop. Sylvia has held this position for 3 years. Prior to that, they were with UBIMET for 4 years 9 months, where they were a Teamlead Controlling, Senior Controller, and Expert Controlling. In their current position, they are responsible for all areas of financial management, particularly corporate accounting & group consolidation, budgeting & forecasting, internal regulation & process optimization, as well as monthly financial reporting and deviation analyses. Sylvia also acts as Business Partner for subsidiaries' (finance) teams and GMs, supervises closing precedures, finance processes as well as financial system environemnts.

Sylvia started their career as an accountant specialist with MSD, where they were responsible for General Accounting Support SBS-Implementation Reporting & Controlling (ad-hoc analysis, Budgest, forecasts) special tasks: coordination of internal & external audits. Sylvia then moved on to Financial Controller with Mondi Group for 1 year 5 months before returning to MSD as an Expert Controlling.

Sylvia Ionita has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien. Her field of study was Tax Management and Personnel Management. Sylvia graduated in 2007. From 1999-2007, they also worked part-time jobs in event and trip organization, and in a second-hand bookshop. Sylvia also did some part-time tax consulting.
