Mikus Kannenieks has a strong background in investment management and finance. Mikus started their career as a Data Entry Operator at ABLV Bank in 2012. In 2015, they gained experience as an Audit Intern at KPMG and as a Business Development Intern at LABEL. Mikus then co-founded Folt in 2015 and served as a Co-Founder until 2017. During this time, they also worked as a Summer Analyst at New Hanza Capital, specializing in real estate asset management. In 2017, Mikus worked as a Summer Analyst again, but this time at Waterfall Asset Management LLC. Mikus also took on the role of Teaching Assistant at NYU Stern School of Business. Finally, in 2018, they became Vice President of Investment Management at Waterfall Asset Management LLC, where they currently work.
Mikus Kannenieks completed their high school education at Riga Center Language School from 2002 to 2011. Mikus then attended Rīgas Valsts 1. ģimnāzija for high school from 2011 to 2014. During this time, they did not specialize in any particular field of study.
After completing high school, Mikus continued their education at NYU Stern School of Business from 2014 to 2018. Mikus pursued a Bachelor's Degree with a focus on Finance and Mathematics.
In addition to their formal education, Mikus also obtained two certifications. Mikus completed the "Introduction to Data Analysis with Python" course at Lynda.com in April 2016. Mikus also obtained the "Public Relations Fundamentals" certification from the same platform in the same month and year.
