Hans Grootaerd

Hans Grootaerd has over 20 years of work experience, primarily in the water and wastewater industry. Hans started their career in 1995 as a Project Engineer and Scientific Collaborator at LabMET - University of Ghent. In 1997, they joined Biotim NV as the Manager of the R&D Department, where they worked until 2007. During this time, they also served as a Senior Project Manager. From 2007 to 2008, Hans worked at Biotim NV as the Manager of the R&D Department and Senior Project Manager before joining Waterleau Group NV as the Business Unit Manager for the BU Biotim Industrial division in 2010. In 2011, they were promoted to Director of Projects for Waterleau Group NV, a position they held until 2013. Currently, Hans is working as the Vice President of Operations at Waterleau.

Hans Grootaerd completed their education in a chronological manner. In 1987, they enrolled in Ghent University where they pursued a degree in Burgerlijk Ingenieur with a major in Chemie. This educational journey lasted until 1993, marking the completion of their undergraduate studies.
