Nolan Haines

Nolan Haines is an electrical engineering intern at Harbinger since September 2024, with extensive experience leading the electrical engineering team at Waterloo Aerial Robotics Group since March 2022. Nolan manages a team of over 20 members to develop electrical systems for autonomous aircraft, currently designing a drone-mounted diversity Gemini Rx PCB. Previous roles include firmware engineering intern positions, where Nolan developed microcontroller firmware, and RF test automation engineering intern at Communications & Power Industries, focused on test automation suite projects. Additional internships at Northern Light Technologies and Toronto Water Works provided further hands-on experience in PCB testing, mechanical and electrical design, and data management. Nolan is pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Waterloo, expected to graduate in April 2026.
