Gordon graduated from Strathclyde University with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1984 and has since acquired a broad range of experience in the Transportation Planning, Highways, Civil Engineering and Development industries from project management of major roads and related structures projects to providing expert witness services at Public Local Inquiries for major developments.

Gordon’s current role is Board Director responsible for Infrastructure (Scotland, Northern England and the Midlands) within Waterman Infrastructure and Environment which sees him responsible for all commercial aspects of the Infrastructure business across the UK offices within that geographical area, providing the full range of infrastructure based consultancy services to a diverse client base and across all major market sectors.

Prior to this, Gordon spent 10 years with Boreham Consulting Engineers, a specialist transport planning and highway engineering company. Initially as a Regional Director, and subsequently elected to the Board as an Executive Director, Gordon was responsible for developing the regional business in Scotland, Northern England and Ireland, prior to Boreham’s acquisition by Waterman. As a result, Gordon has a detailed understanding and knowledge of the transportation planning and related development planning markets.
