Mike Burkhart

Mike Burkhart has over 25 years of experience in human resources management, currently serving as the Director of Employment Practices and Director of Human Resources at Watermark Retirement Communities since August 1998. In this role, Mike oversees a team of HR professionals, managing various aspects including human resources administration, associate benefits, corporate compliance, liability insurance, employment legal matters, labor relations, and recruiting. Additionally, Mike serves as a board member for Watermark For Kids, supporting over 6,500 associates across 23 states. Previously, Mike worked as the Regional Human Resources Director at Horizon CMS Healthcare from 1994 to 1998. Mike holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Human Resources from The University of Toledo, earned between 1981 and 1992.
