Mark Cooper

Mark Cooper is an experienced safety and environmental management professional with a career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as Regional SHE Manager and previously as Senior SHE Advisor at Wates Group since October 2014, Mark has extensive expertise in overseeing projects in the construction and environmental sectors. Prior experience includes roles as State EHS Manager for Lendlease and Laing O'Rourke in Queensland and the Northern Territory, where responsibilities encompassed managing health, safety, and environmental compliance across various infrastructure and building projects. Mark's career in health and safety management is grounded in a solid foundation built during 22 years of service in the British Army, including specialized roles in hazardous environments and training. Mark holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety Management from the University of Portsmouth and a BA (Hons) in Post Compulsory Education and Training from Canterbury Christ Church University.
