Shushi Kabu

Shushi Kabu is a seasoned professional in biomedical engineering and drug development, currently serving as Sr. Manager of Portfolio and Program Management at Wave Life Sciences since February 2022. Previously, Shushi Kabu held positions at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) as Senior Scientist I and Research Scientist II, focusing on drug discovery for neurodegenerative, neurodevelopmental, and psychiatric conditions. Shushi Kabu's earlier experience includes research at Massachusetts General Hospital on Alzheimer’s disease, contributions to central nervous system injury treatment at Cleveland Clinic, and a role in retinal prosthesis development at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Shushi Kabu began a career as a Biomedical Engineer Intern at P.D. Hinduja National Hospital, gaining valuable experience in medical equipment maintenance and safety. Shushi Kabu holds a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Mumbai.
