Paulo MacHado de Carvalho

Paulo Machado de Carvalho has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Paulo is currently the Director and CFO at WayCarbon since June 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Project Finance at Banco Santander from May 2021 to June 2023. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as the Director and CFO Brasil at Fiserv. Before that, they held the position of Senior Client Consultant at Machado de Carvalho Consultoria from September 2014 to December 2018. From December 2009 to June 2014, they were a Senior Partner and CFO at Consenso Aconselhamento Patrimonial. Additionally, they gained extensive experience during their tenure at BBVA, Representative Office in Brazil, where they held various roles including Director, Head of Structured Finance, Director, Chief of Staff, Director, CFO Wholesale Bank, and Head, Pricing, Corporate Desk from 1998 to 2009. Paulo also served as a Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis during this time. Prior to that, they worked as an Associate Financial Analyst at J.P. Morgan from 1997 to 1998 and as an Assistant Financial Analyst at Banco Santander from 1994 to 1997. Paulo began their career as an Auditor at Arthur Andersen & Co. in 1992.

Paulo Machado de Carvalho graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance from FAAP - Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado, from 1992 to 1996. Prior to that, they obtained a High School Diploma from Colégio Santo Américo, from 1981 to 1989.

In addition to their formal education, Paulo Machado de Carvalho also holds a certification as an Agente Autônomo de Investimento from ANCORD. Paulo obtained this certification in May 2012.
