Community Mental Health Therapist at Wayfinder Family Services

Christina Shamirian is a dedicated mental health professional with a diverse background in therapeutic services and research. Currently serving as a Community Mental Health Therapist at Wayfinder Family Services since July 2022 and as a Mental Health Therapist at Lion Recovery, Christina specializes in providing comprehensive mental health support to children, adolescents, and families, as well as facilitating recovery from long-term substance use. Previous experience includes roles as an Infant Therapist & Behaviorist at Keany Associates Inc., where specialized interventions were designed for infants with developmental challenges, and a Marriage and Family Therapy Trainee at New Direction for Veterans, focusing on homeless veterans. Additional experience includes various research assistant positions at the University of California, Riverside, and an early career role as a Junior Analyst at Neighborhood Rescue of America. Christina holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Riverside, and an Associate of Arts in Natural Sciences from Pasadena City College.
