Chu-Ming Chang

Chu-Ming Chang is a Senior Software Engineer at Waymo since February 2022, focusing on machine learning infrastructure for Planner Evaluation, including data engineering and optimizing inference of machine learning models on GPU/TPU. Prior experience includes roles at Google from July 2018 to March 2022, where responsibilities encompassed adaptive controls and cloud AI, as well as advancing AutoML Image Classification through incremental learning techniques. Earlier positions included a software engineering role at Razer Inc. and service as a Corporal in the Singapore Armed Forces. Chu-Ming Chang holds a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Engineering from the National University of Singapore, complemented by exchange studies at Hanyang University and Linköping University.
