Lin He

Lin Lin is a Senior Staff Data Scientist at Waymo, specializing in the safety evaluation of self-driving vehicles since May 2018. Prior to this role, Lin held the position of Senior Data Scientist at Google, leading the Trust & Safety Data Science Team. Lin's earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Scientific Engineering Associate at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, focusing on data analytics for energy efficiency rulemaking, and as a Research Assistant at Northwestern University, studying consumer choice modeling. Internships at PARC, Travelers, DaimlerChrysler, and Shanghai BMW Authorized Dealer provided additional practical experience in various aspects of data analysis, research, and business development. Lin holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Transportation Research from Northwestern University and a Bachelor's degree in Vehicle Engineering from Tsinghua University.
