Omer Baror

Omer Baror is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in the tech industry. Currently serving as Senior Director of Engineering at Waymo since December 2016, Omer leads the Planner Team, focusing on autonomous vehicle decision-making and trajectory planning. Prior to this role, Omer held various engineering positions at Google from April 2010 to December 2016, including Director of Engineering and being a founding member of the Google Assistant project. Omer's early career includes software engineering roles at Yahoo! and internships at Colorado College and the National Center for Atmospheric Research. Omer holds an M.S. in Computer Science from UCLA and a B.A. in Comparative Literature, Philosophy, and Computer Science from Colorado College.
