Sheng Zhao

Sheng Zhao is a Staff Software Engineer at Waymo since September 2019, leading a team of over ten software engineers on system-level reliability in 3D vision applications. Previously, Sheng served as a Software Engineer at Google from September 2015 to September 2019, where significant contributions included the development of the world-first 6DoF AR/VR experiences for Project Tango. Prior experience includes a role as a Senior Computer Vision Engineer at Magic Leap, Inc., focusing on visual-inertial odometry for pose tracking, and research positions at the University of California, Riverside, Bosch North America, and Intel Labs, with a PhD in Robotics and Navigation from the same university.
