Aniruddha Kembhavi

Aniruddha Kembhavi serves as the Director of Science Strategy at Wayve since December 2024 and has held the position of Affiliate Associate Professor at the University of Washington since October 2019. Prior to these roles, Aniruddha spent nearly a decade at the Allen Institute for AI (AI2) from March 2015 to December 2024, where the titles included Senior Director of Computer Vision, Director of Computer Vision, and Research Manager. Earlier experience includes a Senior Research Software Developer role at Microsoft from July 2010 to March 2015, contributing to various projects related to video and image relevance, and a Graduate Research Assistant position at the University of Maryland from November 2004 to June 2010, focusing on object detection and human detection methodologies. Aniruddha holds a PhD in Computer Vision from the University of Maryland and a BE in Electronics and Telecommunications from COEP Technological University.
