Dave Sandler

Dave Sandler is the President of Detour Dave Inc., a position held since January 1993, while also serving as a Traffic Reporter for WBAL Radio since December 1986. Sandler is known as "Detour Dave" and has been a prominent voice in traffic reporting, encouraging listeners to become "Traffic Trouble" callers. In addition to broadcasting, Sandler authored "Taking a Detour," an inspirational book published in 2016 that focuses on overcoming life's obstacles. Sandler holds a Bachelor of Arts in Radio and Television Broadcasting from the University of Maryland, earned between 1979 and 1983.
