Vaughn Farris

For nearly a decade, Vaughn has worked in economic development with a focus on equalizing opportunities for diverse and underserved populations. Overseeing various facets of strategic initiatives, programs, and development, he has created partnerships with Fortune 500 Companies, worked across the aisle with government advocates, and built sustaining programs with leading institutions.

Vaughn rejoined WBENC in 2021 as Senior Director, Development & Engagement, and works with corporate members to advance supplier diversity programs and procurement opportunities for WBEs. From 2013 to 2019, Vaughn led strategic programs focused on WBE and corporate education.

In his previous experience, Vaughn was an executive director for CCS Fundraising where he oversaw client projects and led the firm’s DEI initiatives. He also served as manager of corporate relations and supplier diversity for the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce.

Vaughn earned his MBA from George Washington University School of Business in Washington, DC, and holds a BA in Communications from California State University, Bakersfield.
