Chris Tanaka

Chris Tanaka, MBA, is an experienced news anchor and reporter currently working at WBZ | CBS Boston since August 2022. Previously, Chris served as the primary evening anchor at WOIO from August 2016 to August 2022 and began as Sports Director at Hawaii News Now, where a promotion to news anchor/reporter followed during tenure from June 2011 to July 2016. Earlier career highlights include a role as Sports Reporter/Anchor/Director at KDVR - FOX31 Denver from November 2003 to May 2011, where Chris advanced from sports producer/reporter to sports director. Chris holds an MBA from Regis University (2008-2011) and a BA in Communication and Media Studies from Boston College (1993-1997).
