Mike Thompson

Mike Thompson is an accomplished weather professional and consultant with extensive experience in meteorology and public speaking. Since October 2019, Mike Thompson has served as the Executive Director at the Academy for Climate and Energy Analysis, while simultaneously operating Mike Thompson LLC, providing public speaking and consulting services since January 2019. Mike Thompson has held the position of Chief Meteorologist at WDAF-TV since January 1992 and previously worked as Chief Meteorologist for KCTV/KSMO from January 1983 to January 1992. Earlier career experience includes a role as Chief Meteorologist at WPCQ-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina, from October 1982 to December 1983.
