Patsy Montesinos

Patsy Montesinos is an experienced journalist currently serving as the Weekend Evening Anchor and Multimedia Journalist at WDBJ7 since June 2022. Previously, Patsy worked as a Communication Fellow for Representatives Jesus “Chuy” Garcia and Jamaal Bowman at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, where key responsibilities included writing floor speeches and managing official communications. Patsy also contributed as a Reporter at Chatham News + Record, helping launch La Voz de Chatham, a project dedicated to Latinx community coverage. Experience includes a role as ProPublica Emerging Reporter, providing assistance in investigative journalism, and as a Television News Reporter for the weekly Spanish broadcast Carolina Ahora at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Patsy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an Associate of Arts from Central Piedmont Community College.
