Erik Tiekstra has extensive work experience as a frontend developer and consultant. Erik started their career in 2015 at We ahead, where they worked as a frontend web developer, both in-house and as a consultant. Erik used technologies such as ES6+, React, GraphQL, and Angular.

In 2015, Erik also worked as a lead frontend developer for Qribly, where they developed a new concept web-platform for the Swedish housing market. Erik then joined Folksam as a frontend developer, where they contributed to the development of Folksam's new website and custom framework.

From 2016 onwards, Erik held various roles as a consultant. Erik worked as a frontend developer for hitta.se, where they developed a new streetview player with support for 360 VR video. Erik also worked as a lead frontend developer for Svedea AB, where they restructured the front-end codebase and implemented a new order-flow.

Erik's experience also includes working as a lead frontend developer for Photowall, building their new e-commerce website and implementing a canvas image editor. Erik collaborated with Arbetsförmedlingen on several public applications and co-created their internal npm-library with Angular components.

Most recently, Erik worked as a frontend developer (consultant) for Arbetsförmedlingen and HPI Health Profile Institute, where they continued to utilize their frontend development skills.

Erik Tiekstra pursued their education chronologically beginning in 1996 at Slauerhoff College, where they completed a Higher General Secondary Education degree (Havo) by 1999. Continuing their academic journey, from 1999 to 2002, they attended Friesland College, where they obtained a MBO (VET) degree in Retail Management. Finally, between 2004 and 2008, Erik attended NHL Hogeschool, where they earned a Bachelor of Multimedia degree, focusing on the field of Multimedia.
