Jp Camara has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles.

Jp started their career as an IT Associate at Amica Mutual Insurance Co. in 2007 and worked their way up to Senior IT Architect. During their time there, they were involved in enterprise application development, service-oriented integrations, and technology research.

In 2008, Jp Camara joined Schwadesign as an Agent of Intellect, where they focused on web development and backend development using various languages including Ruby, PHP, Java, and Node.js. Jp stayed with Schwadesign until 2014.

Since 2007, Jp Camara has also been freelancing under their own name, working with various developers and companies such as Mozilla Foundation, Metryx, JakeAndCo, Little Bird Games, Achievery, Schwadesign, and Pinpoint Studios. Jp has experience in PHP (Laravel, Drupal, Wordpress, Custom) and Node.js.

Currently, Jp Camara works at Wealthbox as a Principal Software Engineer. In this role, they lead development on product initiatives, designs architecture, mentors and pairs with their team, and provides thorough code review. Their goal is to build stable, performant, and scalable software while growing the software and engineering culture within the company. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Software Engineer at Wealthbox.

Jp Camara's education history begins in 2003 when they enrolled in Rhode Island College. Jp completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems in 2008 after five years of study. Following this, they pursued further education at Southern Methodist University from 2009 to 2012, where they obtained a Master's degree in Software Engineering.
