Ahmed Shimi

Ahmed Shimi is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) and well engineering. Currently serving as the Global Engineering Manager at Weatherford, Ahmed leads strategic development and standardization of engineering processes for Managed Pressure Wells across global operations. Previously, as Wells Engineering Manager at Pruitt, Ahmed successfully delivered multiple Gulf of Mexico projects with zero non-productive time. Ahmed's career at BP spans various roles, including Drilling Engineer and Operations Manager, where significant achievements included the delivery of advanced MPD systems and innovative designs to mitigate drilling risks. Ahmed holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The American University in Cairo.
