Martin Preusse

Martin Preusse has a diverse work experience in various roles related to data, knowledge management, and healthcare research. Martin is currently working as the Head of Knowledge Platform at Weave since 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Data and Knowledge Management at the German Center for Diabetes Research (DZD) from 2022. Martin also founded Kaiser & Preusse in 2019, specializing in data solutions for health and research. Martin co-initiated HealthECCO in 2020, a non-profit collaboration focused on research and communication in the medical field. Martin was also a co-founder of Knowing Health from 2016 to 2018. Before that, they worked at the Helmholtz Zentrum München, where they held positions as a postdoc at the Institute of Computational Biology from 2016 to 2018 and completed their PhD from 2012 to 2016.

Martin Preusse completed their Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biotechnology at the Technical University of Munich from 2005 to 2009. Martin then pursued a Master of Science in Molecular Biotechnology at the same institution from 2009 to 2011. Following that, they attended the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 2008 and 2009, where they studied Biotechnology. Finally, Martin obtained their Doctorate (Dr. rer. nat.) in Bioinformatics from the Technical University of Munich from 2012 to 2016.
