Jessica Burgess Gallu has a diverse range of work experience, spanning from 2004 to 2023. Jessica'smost recent role is as a Strategic Customer Success Manager at WeaveGrid, where they started in January 2023. Prior to that, they worked at IBM as a Practice Manager from January 2019 to March 2020. Jessica also served as a Senior Strategist at Giant Rabbit from January 2018 to December 2019. Before that, they worked at Giant Rabbit, LLC as a Web Architect from January 2015 to January 2018, and as a Project Manager and CRM/CMS Administrator from June 2013 to January 2015.
Earlier in their career, Jessica worked as an independent contractor in various stage directing roles, including productions at Active Cultures, Actors Theatre of Louisville's Humana Festival, and Adventure Theatre, among others. Jessica also held the role of Artistic Director at The Inkwell, a theater company in Washington DC, from July 2007 to September 2013. Additionally, they worked as a Script and Grant Evaluator in various organizations from 2005 to 2013.
Jessica also has experience in education and teaching. Jessica was a Faculty member at Theatre Lab School of the Dramatic Arts from 2009 to 2012, and a Teaching Artist at Imagination Stage from January 2009 to July 2012. Jessica Burgess Gallu attended Middlebury College from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and Film/Video. From 2010 to 2013, they pursued a Certificate in Fundraising and Development in the field of Arts Management at George Mason University. In 2013, they briefly studied Business at UC Berkeley Extension. Continuing their education in sustainability studies, Jessica enrolled in UC Berkeley Extension in 2021 and is currently attending the Harvard Extension School, where they are focusing on Sustainability Studies.
