Kyle Garton has over 10 years of experience in the energy industry. In 2009, they began their career as a Research Assistant at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. In 2010, they moved to Acree Technologies Inc. as an R&D Assistant Scientist. In 2011, they joined SunPower Corporation as a Business Development Analyst, Senior Project Development Associate, and Product Manager for Energy Storage. In 2016, they became a Senior Product Manager at Stem, Inc., where they were responsible for defining product requirements and roadmaps. In 2017, they joined AutoGrid as Director of Product Development and Principal Product Manager, managing the development and launch of AutoGrid's first energy storage and virtual power plant projects. Finally, in 2020, they joined WeaveGrid as Head of Product and Director of Enterprise Solutions.
Kyle Garton has a diverse educational background. Kyle earned a B.S. in Engineering Physics from the University of California, Berkeley, followed by an M.S. and PhD (discontinued) in Materials Science & Engineering from UC San Diego. Kyle also completed a Professional Series in Smart Grid Technology from UC Berkeley Extension, a Certificate Program in Marketing from UC Berkeley Extension, and a Product Management for the Internet of Things program from Stanford Continuing Studies. Garton's educational journey began at Atwater High School.
