Barbera Whitman

Barbera Whitman is a seasoned education professional with extensive experience in various roles. Currently serving as the Executive Director for the Utah Education Association Ogden/Weber UniServ since July 2016, Barbera has previously held the title of Director at Ogden-Weber Uniserv, focusing on developing programs to enhance membership engagement and growth. Barbera has also advocated for teachers as the Weber Education Association President since August 2003 and has taught K-6 students in reading, math, and social skills, along with teaching 10th grade math in Special Education and interventions in general education. Prior experience includes serving as a Youth Counselor Level 3 for the State of Utah, overseeing programming for at-risk youth. Barbera holds a Master of Education in Special Education and Teaching from Grand Canyon University and additional degrees and certifications from Southern Utah University, Utah State University, and Weber State University.
