Campbell O'Connor has a diverse work experience that spans several industries and roles. They currently hold the position of Vice President, Media Relations, Healthcare at Weber Shandwick, a role they have held since April 2023. Prior to this, Campbell served as an Account Director, Media Relations, Healthcare at the same company from July 2021 to April 2023.
Before joining Weber Shandwick, Campbell worked at GCI Health as an Account Supervisor, Media from June 2020 to July 2021. They also gained experience in the healthcare industry during their time at Edelman, where they held several positions including Senior Account Executive, Healthcare (October 2019 to May 2020), Account Executive, Healthcare (October 2018 to September 2019), and Assistant Account Executive, Healthcare (August 2017 to September 2018). Campbell also interned at Edelman as a Crisis and Litigation & Public Affairs Intern from March 2017 to August 2017.
In addition to their healthcare-focused roles, Campbell has interned at various organizations, including the United States Senate where they served as a Press Intern in the Office of Senator Chris Murphy, D-CT from September 2016 to December 2016. They also interned at Humentum from February 2015 to August 2015.
Campbell's earlier experiences include an internship at ABC News, where they worked on the show THIS WEEK with George Stephanopoulos from June 2012 to September 2012. They also interned at the United States Senate in the Office of Senator Richard Blumenthal, D-CT, from September 2011 to December 2011, where they played a significant role in building a presentation on drug shortages in Connecticut hospitals. Additionally, they interned at the Office of Mayor Bill Finch in Bridgeport, CT, as a CitiStat Intern from June 2011 to August 2011, where they gained experience in data collection and analysis.
Campbell O'Connor completed their high school education at Fairfield College Preparatory School where they obtained their High School Diploma. Later, they continued their education at American University, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics, and Government (C.L.E.G).
