Shannon O'Connor

Shannon O'Connor has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the media and marketing industry.

From 2019 to the present, Shannon has been working at Weber Shandwick, starting as a Senior Manager in Paid Media & Media Buying, then progressing to Director in the same field, and is currently serving as Vice President of Paid Media Planning and Buying.

Prior to joining Weber Shandwick, Shannon worked at HZ from 2016 to 2019 as a Media Planner, where they gained experience in media planning and strategy.

From 2015 to 2016, Shannon worked at Gannett as a Digital Project Manager, where they honed their project management skills in the digital realm.

Before that, Shannon worked at PHD Worldwide from 2012 to 2015, first as an Integrated Assistant, and later as a Digital Strategist, where they focused on digital marketing strategies and implementation.

In 2012, Shannon briefly worked at TEAM Enterprises as a Promotion Specialist, where they played a key role in increasing sales and maintaining positive brand representation for Bacardi products.

Shannon also gained valuable experience as a Marketing Intern at The Gaelic Girls in 2012.

During their time at The Daily Collegian from 2009 to 2011, Shannon served as an Account Executive, developing and managing client accounts.

Lastly, Shannon started their career with a Public Relations Internship at The Crowley Company from 2009 to 2011.

With their extensive experience in media planning, buying, digital strategy, project management, and brand promotion, Shannon O'Connor is a well-rounded professional in the media and marketing industry.

Shannon O'Connor attended Damascus High School from 2004 to 2008, during which they did not obtain any degree or specify a field of study. Following their graduation from high school, they pursued their higher education at Penn State University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Advertising. This academic journey lasted from 2008 to 2012.
