Carlos Iglesias

Carlos Iglesias is an accomplished professional specializing in Open Data, data consultancy, and the Web, with extensive experience across various international organizations and projects since 2004. Currently serving as Projects Lead at MyData Global, Carlos has worked as an Independent Open Data Consultant and Senior Associated Consultant at SB Consulting, focusing on data release initiatives and ecosystem development in collaboration with governments and institutions worldwide. Carlos founded Web Citizens to enhance web usage and accessibility while also contributing as an Invited Expert at W3C, participating in working groups related to web technologies and best practices. Previously, leadership roles included managing over 100 researchers at the World Wide Web Foundation and coordinating semantic web projects at WESO Web Semantics Oviedo. Carlos holds a BS in Computer Science from Universidad de Oviedo, further underpinning a robust background in technology and data standards.
