Chris Wilson is an experienced web standards expert with a career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as Web Standards Tech Lead at Google since November 2010, Chris coordinates web standards engagement for the Chrome team and is responsible for product management of the Web XR Device API. Previously, Chris held various roles at Microsoft, including Principal Program Manager focusing on JavaScript and web platform standards. Chris is also a co-chair of the Immersive Web Working Group and the Web Incubation Community Group at W3C, where responsibilities include incubating new web platform ideas and advising on policy directions. Early career achievements include co-chairing the W3C HTML Working Group and contributing to the development of NCSA Mosaic, the first mass-market Windows web browser. Chris holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
