Marvin Ma is an experienced software engineer currently holding the position of Software Engineer III at Weedmaps since August 2021, after advancing from Software Engineer II. In August 2024, Marvin Ma founded a stealth startup and previously served as Senior Software Engineer at Pixel Canvas from October 2019 to July 2021, where contributions included pivoting the company into software development amid the COVID-19 pandemic and leading the creation of Pixel Connect, a digital events platform utilized by notable organizations. Prior roles include Software Engineer responsible for developing a virtual reality game, Medical Assistant at Pathways Healthcare optimizing productivity through automation, Medical Biller and Office Supervisor, and a Front Counter employee at UCR Recreation, recognized as Student Employee of the Year in 2016. Marvin Ma is currently pursuing a Master of Computer Science at the University of Colorado Boulder, with previous education including a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California, Riverside, and training from App Academy in 2019.
