Mariana Pérez

Mariana Pérez has a strong background in database administration and technical support. Mariana began their career in 2011 as an Intern Project Engineer at DICOFANB, where they redesigned communication networks for the Bolivarian National Armed Forces. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as a Support and Maintenance Engineer at Movistar Telefónica, where they operated and managed data collection services.

In 2014, Mariana joined Atos Spain, S.A. as an Support and Operations Engineer, responsible for monitoring and resolving issues related to control and compliance services. Mariana then transitioned to Fundación Tamayo in 2013, where they worked as an Executive Assistant, overseeing project logistics and development.

Mariana’s experience in the technology industry continued with EPRENSA, where they served as a Developer from 2015 to 2018. Mariana updated processes and technologies for information storage and developed new processes and internal tools to enhance operations.

As a Consulting Support Specialist at BackOffice Associates from 2018 to 2019, Mariana became an expert in SAP solutions, actively and passively governing data in high-availability databases. Mariana also developed data migration procedures and governance rules.

Most recently, Mariana joined Cannadvisable in 2020 as a DataBase Admin & Fullstack Developer. Mariana designed and implemented a comprehensive mobile solution for cannabis club associations and took charge of designing and supporting highly available microservices.

Mariana's current role is as a Senior Database Administrator at wefox, where they oversee database operations, provides strategic guidance to the DevOps team, and ensures data privacy and security. Mariana manages high-availability microservices for sensitive and confidential data storage.

Mariana Pérez earned a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from UCAB - Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, starting in 2003 and completing in 2011.

In 2014, Mariana Pérez furthered their education by enrolling in SEAS - Universidad de Ávila, where they obtained a Master's degree in Integrated Management of Security, Systems, and Computer Networks between 2014 and 2016.
