Lukas Biewald

Lukas Biewald is the CEO and Co-Founder of Weights & Biases. Lukas was previously a Senior Scientist at Powerset, Inc, where they built the search engine relevance testing framework and methodology, and led the team in charge of the search engine ranking, selection and summarization algorithm. Lukas also worked as a Relevance Engineer and Engineering Manager at Yahoo, Inc, where they deployed ML to improve the web search ranking function for international markets, including Japan, Germany, UK, Korea, France, and emerging markets. From December 2007 to March 2019, they were the Founder and CEO of Figure Eight, an ML training data labeling company formerly known as CrowdFlower. Lukas has also worked as a Research Assistant at Stanford University AI Lab and as an Engineer at Enablearning, Inc.

Lukas Biewald completed a BS in Mathematics at Stanford University, followed by an MS in Computer Science at the same school.
