Susan Palmer

Susan Palmer is an experienced professional in library and information science with a strong background in administrative roles across various educational institutions and organizations. Currently serving as an Adult Services Librarian at Albany Public Library since February 2023, Susan previously held the position of Documentation Officer at WeldComputer Corporation, where responsibilities included organizing and updating company documentation. At Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, significant contributions included compiling the OGE Student Services Policy Manual and managing graduate program admissions. As the owner of Handy Woman Business, Susan specialized in plumbing and home improvement services. Early career experience includes roles at Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 7 and various administrative positions at the University at Albany, where accomplishments involved launching online degree programs and fostering alumni involvement.
