Erna King

Postdoctoral Fellow at Wellcome Sanger Institute

Erna King is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Wellcome Sanger Institute since July 2020, focusing on high-quality genome assemblies of marine and estuarine nematode species to explore phylogeny and genome evolution. Previous roles include a part-time Research Associate at Trinity College Dublin (2014-2016), providing expertise in nematode processing and environmental quality analysis, and a Research Associate (2007-2013) responsible for lecturing and coordinating various ecology courses. Erna King completed a PhD in Zoology at Trinity College Dublin (2007-2011) and has experience as a Marine Biology Teacher and as a Consultant Taxonomist. Additional qualifications include a Postgraduate Diploma in Statistics and a BA in Natural Science.
