Salman Tamaddon-Jahromi is an experienced researcher currently serving as an Advanced Research Assistant at the Wellcome Sanger Institute since March 2021, focusing on neurodegeneration research related to Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases. Previously, Salman worked as a Brilliant Club Tutor from February 2018 to March 2021, contributing to initiatives that promote access to higher education for underrepresented groups. As a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at Swansea University from January 2019 to February 2021, Salman conducted research on pancreatic cancer, specifically evaluating IL13Rα2 expression in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma organoids. Additionally, Salman held the position of Alumni Relations Specialist at Swansea University from October 2017 to October 2018. Salman holds a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology (cancer) and has an MSc by Research in Regenerative Medicine and a BSc in Medical Biochemistry from Swansea University.
